Franco Tagliabue Volontè

Franco Tagliabue Volonté graduated from the Milan Polytechnic. Together with Ida Origgi he founded the ifdesign studio with which the National Council of Architects elected Italian Architects of the Year 2021. In 2006 he won the Honorable Mention of the Jury at the European Prize for Urban Public Space of the CCCB in Barcelona and obtained numerous other awards including the first Ecola Award in Berlin, the CID in Chicago. He was invited to the “2009 Shenzhen/Hong Kong Biennale for Urbanism and Architecture” on the theme of public space and has participated in several editions of the Venice Biennale. He teaches at the Politecncio of Milan and at the Universidad Tecnica Particular de Loja UTPL in Ecuador, where he coordinates the RURURBAN program which deals with the informal neighborhoods of the South American city. He is the author, among others, of the project of Laboratories and Socio-Educational Center for people with disabilities.
